Information Systems Lab

The Information Systems Lab was founded in 2001. It is an official lab of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus. Its main aim is to support educational and research activities in the broad scientific field of Information Systems and their applications.

The lab's research activities are mainly focused on the areas of Intelligent Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems, 3D Graphics, Virtual Reality and Intelligent Virtual Environments. In addition, the lab offers scientific, technical and organizational support to both undergraduate students and students in the "Advanced Information Systems" and "Informatics" postgraduate courses. The lab's personnel includes faculty members, postgraduate researchers and PhD candidates. The lab is currently accommodated in room 012 on the ground floor of the University's main building.
