Professor Kostas Metaxiotis is a faculty member of the Department of Informatics. His research interests are in the area of Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Management Systems (ERPs) and Knowledge Management. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Knowledge-based Development. He has also contributed as a reviewer to international journals and chaired or committee member of conferences in the field of knowledge management, knowledge-based-development, intelligent information systems. In the period 2004-2009, he served as Advisor to the Special Secretary for the Information Society of the Ministry of Economy & Finance, responsible for monitoring the course of the "Information Society" OP. He is the co-author of three monographs and more than 100 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, with more than 1,600 hetero-citations to his work (according to Google Scholar source). He holds a Diploma (1997) and PhD (2001) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
