Submitting a Master's Thesis to "DIONE"

Master's Thesis Submission to "Dione" Institutional Repository

Postgraduate students of the Department of Informatics are hereby informed that, following the successful defense of their master's thesis before the Three-Member Examination Committee, they must submit the electronic file of their thesis to 'DIONI', the library's information system.

The dissertation file submitted to "DIONI" must follow the format specified in the following document. "Dissertation Template for DIONI"

If the dissertation is written in English, the file submitted to "DIONI" must follow the format specified in the following document. "Dissertation Template for DIONI – English"

Clarifications
Clarifications regarding the Master’s Thesis file
and its submission to "DIONI"

When preparing the Master’s thesis file and submitting it to “DIONI”, please pay attention to the following:

Generic Information
• Your full name must be written exactly as it appears on your identity card.
• The full names and academic titles of the Professors (Supervisor & Three-member examination committee) must be written as they appear on the Department’s website.
• The thesis title (in Greek and English) must be written as agreed with the Supervisor. The title must be correctly stated in all required sections (submission document, thesis cover page, and thesis footer).

In the submission document
• The thesis title must be written in both Greek and English. The system allows for the inclusion of both titles. Please enter the Greek title first and then the English title as the second title.
•   To the submission date should be written only the month and the year of the evaluation of the thesis.
•   To the Supervisor field should be written only the name of the Supervisor, and not of all members of the Three-member Examination Committee.

In the Master’s thesis file:
• The DIONI template cover page must be used, not a custom one.
• The thesis title must be written in both Greek and English.
•   To the submission date should be written only the month and the year of the evaluation of the thesis.
• Headers and footers must be formatted according to the DIONI template.
• The footer must include the thesis title in Greek.
• The thesis must be submitted as a PDF file, not a Word document.

COMPLETION OF THE MASTER’S THESIS SUBMISSION PROCESS IN “DIONI”
ΚΑΙ ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΗ ΠΙΣΤΟΠΟΙΗΤΙΚΩΝ ΠΕΡΑΤΩΣΗΣ ΣΠΟΥΔΩΝ

After the submission of the Master’s thesis to “DIONI”, the file is reviewed by the Secretariat. If any errors or omissions are identified, the student is notified via email with the required corrections.

After the approval of the Master’s thesis file by the Secretariat, the submission process to “DIONI” is completed and the procedure for the student’s graduation from the Master’s Programme begins. Once it is confirmed that the student has successfully passed all courses of the Programme and that there are no outstanding tuition fee obligations, the graduation process is finalized. A certificate of completion of studies and an official transcript are then sent to the student’s email address.
