Assist. Prof. Ioannis Venetis

Ioannis Venetis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus in the field of Operating Systems. He has received his PhD from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras.

His research interests include Operating Systems, Programming Models for Parallel Computers, Scheduling in Parallel Computers and Parallel Implementations of Applications (indicatively in the fields of Seismology and Computational Neuroscience). He has taught several courses at Greek Universities such as Operating Systems, Parallel Processing, Programming in Assembly Language, etc. He has also participated in a number of European and National research projects in fields corresponding to his research interests.
